Kirby Group Engineering is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Project Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship data centre project in Milan. You'll play a key role in managing the commercial performance of the project from early delivery stages through to final account, working alongside experienced commercial, operational and project delivery teams.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, influencing commercial outcomes and being part of a team delivering critical infrastructure at the highest level.

The Role
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for maximising the commercial performance of the project while ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed.

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams, you will oversee cost control, subcontractor management, valuations, forecasting, reporting and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hands‐on role where your commercial judgement, attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships will directly contribute to project success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account

Prepare budgets, cost reports, forecasts, BOQs and profit plans

Produce accurate commercial reporting and provide detailed project updates to senior stakeholders

Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts

Ensure all subcontractor accounts are administered in accordance with agreed contractual terms

Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment and final account submissions

Manage remeasurement activities, variations, compensation events, dayworks and change orders
