Amazon's E‑reader platform team owns the operating system stack (C/C++) and the low‑level components that give the device weeks of battery life. Are you ready to create value for millions of customers as we launch more E‑readers with additional capabilities? Do you have a passion for building an operating system that enables developers to create applications on top of it? 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
~5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
~Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
~ Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
