ENVISION YOUR FUTURE JOB We are looking for a talented, motivated, curious and enterprising expert in mechanical aspects with a creative mindset to join us at our Operations HQ in Agordo (Belluno, Italia). As Mechanical Engineer - Product Development you will join the Concept team within the R&D Department and bring to the table your strong technical approach (especially from a mechanical perspective) together with a creative and disruptive mindset. Your main goal will be to contribute to the resolution of technical problems regarding eyewear products among the 4000 new products that are released every year by EssilorLuxottica. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES - Concept development: propose and develop eyewear component concepts, with a focus on functional ones, and follow their lifecycle from conception to the possible mass production - Technical support: being able to provide insight on technical topics related to product and component development - Supplier interaction: being able to investigate and engage suppliers for the development of custom components - Product oriented mindset: being able to focus on the final customer and his needs - Interaction with other Company's Departments such as R&D Tech Frames and Product teams, Purchasing, Quality, Controlling to define proposal details - Prototype preparation: follow prototype part manufacturing and assembly - Project Management: keep track of project advancements. REQUIREMENTS - You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (it's a must)- You have strong problem solving skills - You are familiar with 3D modeling software: Priority: Creo PTC, Rhinoceros, Magics - You have knowledge of eyewear component design and manufacturing - this would be a plus- You have knowledge of mechanical/FEM analyses - You are familiar with 3D printing processes - You are fluent in English WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW In EssilorLuxottica you have the feeling of being part of a "success story", no matter where you work in the EssilorLuxottica world, you can really make an impact.
