The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. Accountabilities Preparation of the system requirements specification. Analysis of technical proposals from Suppliers Verification of drawings / documents (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installation / integration on board Preparation of the functional requirements specification for integration with TCMS Preparation/verification of the functional & performance test specification System Stand alone type test attendance and type test report review. Support during onboard integration & performance type tests Review of the design documentation with customer and supplier Support to homologation process Required Skills/ Knowledge Experience to perform the aforementioned accountabilities as dictated in section above Intermediate experience (at least 2 years) gained in the rolling stock construction industry with the role of System Engineer for Signaling System (ETCS System particularly) Good knowledge of the disciplines of electrotechnics, electronics and sufficient knowledge of basic mechanical engineering. Knowledge of the main regulations/standards relating to on board systems in railway sector (EN50155, TSI Loc&Pass, TSI PRM, etc). Knowledge of the main office automation software / tools (Word, Excel, etc.). Desired Skills/ Knowledge knowledge of the basic concepts of the RAMS disciplines and of the on board communication networks (MVB, Ethernet, etc). Possible knowledge of electrical / mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and / or numerical / functional simulation tools (Matlab, Simulink, etc.) Interdisciplinary approach Team-working attitude Flexibility Result orientation Readiness to travel occasionally Education / Qualifications Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics disciplines are a preferential title) Languages Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level) We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
