Make selling complex energy products as easy as selling a pair of shoes online. As Software Engineer at epilot you will be a driving force in shaping this mission. There is no dedicated Ops team who you can pass on the responsibility to take your code and make sure it runs reliably and scales to customers' needs. Deliver working software early and frequently. We believe in the basic Agile principle of "Release early and release often". This approach helps us manage risk and make better decisions by creating fast feedback loops between ourselves and our users. We design software API First. Before we write a single line of code, we design the APIs of a service in a way that any other team, whether internal to epilot or external, can use the APIs interface with our service without prior knowledge. In order to bring our solution even faster to the top in the energy world, we are looking for you as a Senior Product Engineer (Full Stack). Main requirements What awaits you As a Product Engineer at epilot, you'll go beyond just coding. You'll play an integral role in building our cutting-edge platform using technologies like TypeScript , React , Svelte , and serverless AWS microservices . Microfrontends, serverless AWS, and best-in-class developer tooling and automation. Collaborate with full‐stack, backend, and frontend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver impactful features. Draft an RFC (Request for Comment), drive the initiative, and own it from start to finish. Participate in diverse, exciting development projects, leveraging pair programming and agile methodologies. What you bring We're looking for a Product‐Minded Engineer who resonates with our values and has the following skills and mindset : Product Thinking : You care about delivering value to customers and users, not just writing code. Hands‐on experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks. Familiarity with microservices architecture and public / private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Basic understanding of application and cloud security principles, and how to build secure, reliable software. Agile Know‐How : You're familiar with methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, or XP and understand how to apply them effectively. Flexibility : Work remotely or from our centrally located office in Cologne, with flexible working hours.
