Job Title: Examinations Invigilator – Cambridge IGCSE & International Baccalaureate Location: St Louis School, Archinto Campus. Department: Examinations Office Reports To: Examinations Officer / Deputy Head of Secondary Contract Type: Temporary / Hourly Hours: As required during examination periods Job Purpose St Louis School is seeking responsible, reliable, and attentive individuals to join our team as Examinations Invigilators for the Cambridge IGCSE & International Baccalaureate examination series. The primary role is to ensure the smooth and secure running of public examinations in accordance with Cambridge International & IB regulations and school policies, maintaining the integrity of the assessment process at all times. Key Responsibilities Supervise students during examinations to ensure a calm and controlled environment. Set up examination rooms by laying out stationery, booklets, and candidate materials as per seating plans and exam board guidelines. Ensure students enter and exit the examination room in an orderly and compliant manner. Read aloud exam instructions and enforce examination conditions, including start and end times. Monitor candidates throughout the exam to prevent malpractice, ensuring compliance with exam regulations. Distribute and collect examination materials securely and accurately. Report any irregularities, incidents, or breaches of exam conditions to the Examinations Officer. Maintain confidentiality and the security of exam materials at all times. Assist with any administrative tasks related to examinations as required. Person Specification: Essential: High standard of spoken and written English. Excellent attention to detail and observational skills. Punctual, reliable, and professional. Able to follow strict procedures and work under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and authoritative presence. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Desirable: - Previous experience as an invigilator or in an educational setting. - Familiarity with Cambridge International / IB examination processes. Training & Support - Full training on invigilation procedures. Cambridge & IB exam protocols will be provided. - Ongoing support from the Examinations Officer and school leadership. Additional Information Invigilators will be required during the official Cambridge IGCSE & IB examination periods (typically April/May/June). This is a part-time, flexible role depending on the exam schedule and invigilator availability. Successful candidates may be subject to background checks in accordance with the school's safeguarding policies.
