Overview As Director of Finance you will be the strategic financial partner for a renowned ultra-luxury property in Rome, guiding profitability and financial integrity. You'll partner with ownership and the Executive Committee to translate data into actionable insights that shape the hotel's financial future. A pivotal role, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and ROI evaluations for capital projects while fostering a high-performing finance team. This opportunity combines luxury hospitality leadership with influence over strategic financial decisions.

- Heartist program with discounted rates Learning & development opportunities Provide financial analysis, market data, and business intelligence to support operational and strategic decisions Lead annual operating budget, capital budgets, and rolling forecasts with GM and department heads Evaluate ROI of capital projects and post-completion outcomes Represent finance in ownership meetings, business reviews, and Executive Committee discussions Maximize cash flow through disciplined controls on inventory, credit, disbursements, and deposits Oversee financial impact of operations on P&L with the Executive Committee Ensure timely financial reporting and variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset sub-ledgers Manage hotel contracts and financial arrangements Maintain records for internal and external audits Establish purchasing policies, thresholds, and inventory controls Collaborate with department heads on purchasing aligned with forecasts Ensure compliance with Italian fiscal regulations, Accor policies, and contractual obligations Develop and implement robust internal controls and risk management procedures Maintain leases, contracts, and regulatory records on the Critical Date List Manage Finance & Accounting department including AP, AR, Credit, Purchasing, Audit, Payroll, and Accounting Operations Set performance goals and coach team to align with guest service goals Foster collaboration with department heads to ensure financial literacy and accountability Support guest journey with accurate billing, payment options, and dispute resolution Oversee luxury-standard inventory controls Partner with F&B, Rooms, and Events to ensure financial processes enhance guest experience 5–10 years in hotel accounting or audit ~ Minimum 2 years in a Director of Finance or equivalent senior role ~ Proven budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and asset management experience ~ Experience with ownership groups, external auditors, and regulatory bodies ~ Strong knowledge of Italian fiscal and labor regulations ~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline ~ Excellent English and Italian communication skills ~ Cross-functional collaboration ~ Advanced Microsoft Excel ~ Microsoft PowerPoint ~ Opera PMS (hospitality system)
