No /p h3Offer Description /h3 pThe project focuses on the electrophysiological investigation of the pathophysiological mechanismsbr/of synaptic transmission in neurological and neurodevelopmental epileptic disorders. The researchbr/will address the mechanisms disrupting the balance between excitatory and inhibitory transmission,br/with particular emphasis on GABAergic dysfunction and modulation of synaptic receptors. Thebr/candidate will independently design and perform experiments using cellular electrophysiologicalbr/techniques and will carry out electrophysiological and statistical data analysis and modelling. Thebr/project also includes critical interpretation of the results, preparation of scientific manuscripts inbr/English, and dissemination of findings, with the aim of identifying synaptic mechanisms andbr/potential therapeutic targets /p pEligibility criteria /p p
