Junior Completion Engineer

COMPLETION ENGINEER – ITALY – DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT Our Client, a Major Engineering Contractor is seeking a Completion Engineer to join their team working in Italy on a residential basis. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Engineering Degree/Diploma (preferable). Specific experience of at least 5 years is required together with continuous training on the subject. Good knowledge of Italian and English languages JOB SCOPE: Develop the oil well completion design and plan the completion, workover and well abandonment activities safely and efficiently, involving the use of the best available technologies and the most appropriate techniques for the execution of the operations, in accordance with the procedures, HSEQ standards and oil wells engineering best practices. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE Take care of the entire wells’ completion design process by interfacing with the drilling engineering and production optimization functions, also using of the software that will be made available by the COMPANY (e.g. WellPlan, WellCat, WellCost). Prepare completion, workover and well abandonment programs with particular attention to wells’ integrity, choice of materials and available technologies, and operations being carried out safely and efficiently. Prepare time estimates for wells to be completed. Follow the progress of operational completion, workover and abandonment activities in progress. Provide support in resolving operational issues during the completion, mine closure and workover phases. Develop contingency plans, identifying corrective actions and suggesting any improvements to operational programs. Analyze costs and operational performance, preparing benchmark analyses. Prepare End Of Well Reports (EOWR). Develop studies and reports to carry out specific technical analysis and capitalize on lessons learned. Prepare technical specifications and perform technical evaluation of tenders. Rate: Neg Euros per day (net of local tax) – please quote what you would be looking for Duration: 12 months renewable contract starting ASAP Status: Residential. Working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).
