Construction Manager

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading all the construction activities at the site. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all construction subcontractors with the aim to ensure the plant is connected on time while safety and quality standards are respected. As a Company representative, it is requested that the CM liaise with the client daily and hold, jointly with the Project Manager, weekly coordination meetings to present the project’s progress.

1. Studies deeply project SOW including engineering drawings, BOM, material purchase orders, and subcontract requisitions.
2. Reports project progress to the PM on a daily and weekly basis on the company’s forms.
3. Verify subcontractors’ productivity by tracking their progress daily. If productivity is low and a schedule slippage is foreseen, develop, jointly with the PM, a recovery plan.
4. Oversee, with the help of site engineers, subcontractor’s installation works, checking installation’s quality and adherence to the design. In case of major findings, issue a nonconformity to the subcontractors.
5. Coordinate site team.
6. In case of a contract violation by any subcontractor, issue an official communication.
7. Reports daily about the material received at the site.
8. Overviews, inspects, and verifies quality and quantities of the materials delivered at the site. Crosscheck the BOM included in the order and transportation documentation. In case of any finding, inform the PM and issue a non-conformity to the supplier.
9. Coordinate with the logistic assistant to hand over materials to the subcontractors.
10. Liaise, in collaboration with Procurement and Logistics departments, with suppliers to arrange the material deliveries.
11. Find cost-effective solutions to solve construction necessities. For minor works/supplies, it is requested to the CM to find local suppliers. At least three offers need to be received. Technical/commercial conditioning needs to be done and results reported to the PM.
12. Monitors compliance with company technical requirements and all the applicable norms and standards.
13. Develop Project Quality plan and Quality Control Procedures in line with company requirements. Implement the project quality plan into the project.
14. In case of damages or accidents, jointly with HSE department, ensure appropriate procedures are followed and adequate reporting is done.
15. Ensure final documentation is delivered by the subcontractors according to company standard.
16. Manage the site facilities from a technical and administrative point of view. Rent offices, provide the necessary utilities (water, electricity, internet), organize cleaning activities stipulating a contract with local suppliers.
17. Ensure a smooth and efficient handover of the plant to the asset-management department.
18. Attend weekly meetings with the client.
19. Liaise with DL and CSE where necessary.
20. Be nominated as the safety responsible of the site.

Minimum 5 years’ experience on construction sites.
Must have experience in utility-scale Solar Power Plants.
University Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering is a plus.
Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); MS Project is a plus.
Good knowledge of AUTOCAD
Good level of English is a must.
Minimum Italian language is requested.

The candidates must relocate to the Site, and the projects will be approx. 8 months, and then they will move on to the next projects.
On top of your salary accommodation, food allowance, and pool car will be provided.
