Senior Raw Materials Specialist - Scientist - Milk Our client, an important multinational Group operating in the FMCG, is currently looking for: Senior Raw Materials Specialist / Scientist - Milk The position will be placed in the Technical Scientific Department, which provides to Group and affiliates highvalued technical, nutritional and scientific evolutions for Raw Material and Technological Process, levering on basic research and studies in alignment with product performance requirements (R&D and Marketing). It will provide new raw materials to the laboratories for product development, identifying the best raw materials (presents and futures) on the market and studying their specifications according to Group standard (pre-requisites, regulatory standard,…) and will guarantee analysis and studies about all raw materials through experimental testing and taste. Main Task/Activities: •Raw material innovation, analysis and improvement Identifies new raw materials (presents and futures) in order to enable the development and the improvement of half-finished and finished products

  • Coordinates laboratory testing in order to define raw materials characteristics and studies raw material specifications according to Group standard (pre-requisites, regulatory standard, …)
  • Provides to Product Technical Performance Managers technical support for eventual problems related to raw materials resolution
  • Verifies the used raw materials possible improvement, through the study of technological-productive interventions among suppliers and through the study of alternative raw materials.
  • Prepares, issues and updates the specifications of raw materials of competence.
  • Supports the preparation and issuing of the related specifications (Quality).
  • Analyses the data of experimental testing and taste, suggesting modification, and participating to the taste analvses to verify the product preservation
  • Collaborates with the relevant business units for the constant maintenance of regulatory updating
New machineries •Collaborates with the competent technical entities, in new machineries design or in modifying the existing ones and verifies the correct respect of quality standards, in order to ensure the raw materials characteristics maintenance. Procurement •Supports the process of raw material provision in order to have the availability of all necessary materials to do the trial defined and required. Requirements :
  • MSc or PhD degree in Food Engineering, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • 8 years of experience, ideally within R&D Lab in multinational FMCG companies
  • Strong skills with MS Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel)
  • English professional proficiency required, any other language is a plus
  • Excellent relational skills
Availability to frequent business trips (about 50% of the time, mainly to Europe and US) #J-18808-Ljbffr
