Become part of our great team as a...Manager Application EngineerGoal of the RoleAs a Manager Application Engineer, you play a critical role in defining robust and cost-effective manufacturing concepts for elastomer products. By combining deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional leadership, you enable accurate quotations, ensure feasibility from concept to production, and support optimized manufacturing processes that meet customer and business requirements.Your ResponsibilitiesLead the European team within the Global Concept & Costing organizationDefine manufacturing concepts and feasibility analyses from quotation through productionTranslate customer requirements into efficient, cost-effective elastomer manufacturing solutionsCoordinate with Engineering, Materials, Design/Simulation, Costing, and Commercial teamsEnsure cost efficiency of vulcanization and upstream/downstream processesUpdate and manage costing based on evolving specifications and requirementsCollaborate with external suppliers to define production equipment and process specificationsWork closely with prototyping, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and quality complianceWhat We're Looking ForEngineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials) or equivalentAt least 5 years of experience in technical manufacturing roles, preferably in elastomer or plastics environmentsStrong knowledge of elastomer materials and manufacturing processes (compounding, compression/injection molding, post-curing, finishing)Solid understanding of tooling, processing, and manufacturing cost driversAbility to read technical drawings; CAD/CAM experience is a plusProven technical leadership and ability to coordinate cross-functional teamsAnalytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills with internal and external stakeholdersFluency in technical English (written and spoken)What We OfferAttractive compensation package that rewards your expertise and impact.Flexible working arrangements with hybrid options to support a healthy work-life balance.Continuous learning and development opportunities to help you grow your skills and advance your career.The chance to work with cutting-edge technologies across exciting, fast-evolving industries.A collaborative, high-performing team environment where your ideas and contributions truly make a difference.Be yourself at DatwylerWe are convinced that people make the difference.
