Health and Safety Manager | Rome Project: Major Data Centre Rate: €500-€600 a day (DOE) Duration: Initial 6 Month Contract (strong potential for extension) Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a client who are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee a major Data Centre project in Rome. This role is overseeing a major Principal Contractor operation, so experience working with or interacting with Tier 1 contractors or clients is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities - Regularly visiting the site, advising operational managers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Health and Safety strategy. - Conducting site audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards. - Preparing and presenting HSE reports to the senior management team. - Leading accident investigations and incident reporting, including root cause analysis. - Reviewing existing and new systems of work, identifying potential flaws or training needs to enhance the on-site safety culture. Requirements - Proven experience in a similar role within Data Centres, construction, or M&E sectors. - A NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma, NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent), and ideally, Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH). - Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated success in engaging with clients and contractors. - Strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
