Offer Description

The project will focus on the analysis of the photobiological effects of near-UVA and far-UVC radiation on pathogenic microorganisms, with the aim of understanding the damage mechanisms induced by these radiations. Laboratory studies will be conducted using advanced microbiological techniques to cultivate and test different types of pathogens exposed to light radiation close to the UV spectrum. Activities will include the measurement of chemical-physical and microbiological parameters before and after exposure, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of new disinfection strategies and potential therapeutic implications in the use of this radiation for sterilization and reduction of microbial contamination in various environments.
