If so, we have the job for you We're looking to add a handful of high‐impact engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will be our suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects. Once the design is completed and approved, you will hand‐off the project to our Ops Engineering team who will oversee the installation and commissioning of the project. You'll support that team to ensure that the system you've designed is successfully installed, commissioned and launched. Your projects may include green‐fields, brown‐fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross‐dock facilities, and transportation centers. They will be a mix of template‐based and designed‐from‐scratch projects. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast‐paced, often ambiguous environment. Responsibilities The role includes responsibility for: - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define design requirements. - Leading multiple engineering design projects from concept to approval. - Acting as the primary technical contact for suppliers. - Hand‐off approved designs to Ops Engineering for installation and commissioning. - Supporting Ops Engineering post‐installation to ensure successful launch. - Managing projects that span green‐field, brown‐field, and retrofit scenarios. Qualifications Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience. - Experience managing engineering design projects. Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field. - Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making. - Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, high‐speed manufacturing, and design‐in‐safety. - Experience with process design based on Lean Principles. Base Salary Range USA, WA, Bellevue – 99,300.00 – 160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‐on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
