Overview Job Description Summary Seeking state certified pharmacy tech to join our inpatient team in Florence, SC on a PRN basis Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type PRN Cost Center CC003617 FLO - Pharmacy (FMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-22 Scheduled Weekly Hours 8 Work Shift Job Description Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s), the pharmacy technician assists in all pharmacy operations' functions related to: (1) preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; (2) maintenance of drug inventories (e.g., restocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital, drug packaging/re-packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart restock, etc.); and (3) completion of patients' records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits, etc.). Responsibilities Assist in all pharmacy operations' functions related to preparation and distribution of medications. Maintain drug inventories, restock automated dispensing cabinets, handle drug packaging/re-packaging, extemporaneous compounding, and code cart restock. Complete patients' records pertaining to drug therapy (e.g., aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits). Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required; college-level courses desirable but not required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program required Experience: (Preferred) two or more years of experience in a hospital or health system.
