Overview In this leadership role, you will drive sustainable, profitable growth for a European automotive business unit within Johnson Electric. You will lead a small, geographically dispersed sales team, shape medium
- and long-term commercial strategy, and strengthen relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers. You will manage profitability, pricing, and contractual processes while expanding new business across Europe. This position offers high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence product-market strategies in a global automotive supplier. Retribuzione / Benefits Key commercial leadership position within a global automotive supplier High visibility and close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams across Europe Lead and coach a four-person sales team across Europe (Italy, Germany, France) Drive sustainable, profitable growth for the assigned business unit, including needs for new customers, new products, localization, and market development Oversee profitability of existing business through annual price negotiations, long-term agreements, value analysis/value engineering, and raw-material/FX adjustments Propel acquisition of profitable new business with both existing and new customers, ensuring booking targets are met Define medium
- and long-term commercial strategy with Sales Managers based on customer needs, pricing, competitors, and product trends Lead budget and sales-planning processes, monitor monthly performance, implement corrective actions Maintain a reliable business plan and SFDC-based opportunity pipeline with monthly updates Ensure commercial process compliance (contract reviews, debit/credit notes, price adjustments, quotations) Relevant technical education or professional background with ability to understand engineered products and technical-commercial trade-offs Significant sales and business-development experience in automotive, ideally with OEM and/or Tier 1 customers Proven track record in profitable growth, pricing and contract negotiations, new-business acquisition, forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management People-leadership experience managing a small, geographically dispersed team Fluent English (written and spoken); German knowledge advantageous Leadership and people management Coaching and development Strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration Industry knowledge of automotive engineering and applications Pricing strategy and contract negotiation
