Telespazio is looking for a Program Officer to join TV & Radio Business Area / Sales and Delivery department in Rome (Italy).

TV & Radio business area is in charge to define commercial plans ensure the achievement of order intake targets, TV and Radio market Profit and Loss, managing relationships with customers, ensure the projects delivery in compliance with contractual requirements and expected timelines maximizing customer satisfaction, preparation of offers and contracts documentation, collecting the expected costs, guarantee the products/services development and technical design, manage the development of new products/services.

The selected candidate will be responsible of overseeing a set of projects within the TV business area and will then have to analyze the cumulative value that each project is providing to the business and ensure that the objectives of the projects are in line with expectations.

The selected candidate will:

  • provide project support by working cooperatively with Project Managers and other team members to achieve project success,
  • monitor the projects implementation and delivery The Project Officer must have administrative and technological skills, which allow him to monitor multiple projects simultaneously to evaluate their adequacy with respect to the objectives.

Task & Accountabilities

Main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Development and management of detailed project schedule and work plan (i.e., GANTT), project progress monitoring, allocation of resources on the field, assignment of tasks.
  • Execute and control the project activities and be accountable for the relevant cost and schedule KPI’s (EBIT/Revenues); support the yearly preparation of budgets.
  • Provide periodic reporting to upper management.
  • Business analysis activities.
  • Budget management and cost control activities.
  • Drafting analysis documents.
  • Planning of project initiatives with the involvement of internal bodies and external suppliers.
  • Monitoring, data extraction and planning activities in SAP.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Experience of at least 1 year as Program Officer.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project life cycle phases.
  • Technical knowledge of core TV Services.

Core Competencies, Knowledge:

  • Experience using program management tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment, Office suite applications and SAP.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Team-working and performances oriented.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Predisposition to teamwork.
  • Predisposition to work for objective.
  • Organization of time.
  • Punctuality in carrying out tasks and respecting objectives, even in the long term.
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting documents.
