Are you an experienced System Administrator looking for a unique opportunity to work on one of Europe’s most ambitious space programs? Do you want to be part of the team that ensures the seamless operation of the Galileo satellite navigation system? We are looking for two skilled System Administrators to join our team and play a key role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure supporting the Galileo program. You will work in a high-availability environment, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the ground segment systems that keep Europe’s global navigation satellite system (GNSS) running smoothly. ESYEN is an engineering company offering services to the Space Industry, working with major international Customers and Agencies like EUSPA and ESA. Our team has a solid track record in providing Ground Segment services across the major EU Space Programmes. ESYEN operates in Italy, Germany, France and Spain, with a strong commitment to innovation and quality of service. The position is available at one of the following Galileo program sites: GSMC France – EUSPA, Saint-Germain-en-Laye near Paris
- France Education & Experience Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator in a complex IT environment (space, aerospace, telecommunications, or similar) ✅ Strong expertise in Windows & Linux system administration Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) Familiarity with networking concepts (routing, switch configuration, firewall, VPNs) Proficiency in automation & scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible) ✅ Fluency in English (written and spoken) Eligibility for security clearance As a System Administrator, you will be part of the Galileo Ground Segment, a critical component of the Galileo satellite navigation system. Your role will involve configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the ground segment infrastructure while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure high availability and reliability of Galileo services. IT Infrastructure Deployment & Management Installing, configuring, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures, including servers, networking devices, cryptographic systems, and key IT services Setting up and managing containerized services Ensuring the integration and testing of new software and hardware releases before deployment Testing & Compliance Support Assisting in penetration tests and IT security audits to evaluate system robustness and compliance Supporting the delivery of Galileo’s navigation message, ensuring the infrastructure meets strict operational standards Operations & Continuous Improvement Participating in anomaly investigations, change control boards, and system migrations to enhance system performance Collaborating with ESA, EUSPA, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with mission requirements and industry best practices BENEFITS The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract, along with a competitive salary package that reflects your skills and experience, in line with the company’s salary scale.
