Overview AVASK is a global consultancy that specialises in international taxation and business solutions for e-commerce sellers. Role Indirect Tax Consultant Location Southampton, UK, or our EU offices Salary Depending on experience Our Indirect Tax Consultants play a crucial role in supporting clients worldwide with their VAT obligations, encompassing tax compliance, VAT advisory services, and e-commerce consultancy. We adopt a client-centric approach and are currently seeking tax professionals to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. As an Indirect Tax Consultant, you will provide comprehensive advice, offering practical guidance on VAT regulations, cross-border transactions, and ensuring full compliance with VAT laws. Indirect Tax Consultant, the role Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously. Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required. Communicate with tax offices regarding clients' accounts and obligations. Conduct VAT audits / investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio. Manage clients' accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department. Train, support, and develop new team members. Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures. Qualifications Essential Experience working in Law / VAT / Accountancy / Finance. Confident and with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face to face (ad hoc)). Knowledge in other languages as EU languages would be an advantage.
