The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

You are a graduated with a bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with at least 10-15 years of experience in Software Development.
You are customer focused, resourceful, innovative, creative with a strong communication skill. You are analytical and structured but you also enjoy thinking outside the box and being creative
You will have the opportunity to join our SW design community working in an Agile Scrum team of SW developers.
You will be accountable for the definition of requirements, the design of SW architecture, coding and testing of Software running on our equipment. The development will be done in compliance with our rigorous aerospace standards but also tailored to our challenging schedules.
You will be part of our international cross-functional team that includes project manager, system engineer, HW-ME designers, Project Engineering, Quality Assurance and manufacturing operations .
Passion for coding, technologies and shipping features that bring innovation
Solid know-how of Linux operating system and software packaging using the RedHat Package Manager
Experience improving quality through thoughtful code review, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring and proactive changes.
Strong C/C++ and scripting languages (python/bash) skills
Extended know-how with regards to TCP/IP networking and the corresponding low-level APIs. You also potentially have background on Linux network configuration
Experience working on complex, multi-threaded application architectures
Familiar with cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and familiarity with networking component.
Experience with network debug and testing tools (Wireshark)
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new feature
You are familiar with the basic tools deployed in our infrastructure: DOORs, Jira
High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability
You have good verbal and written communication skills
Any experience with Bootloader or Kernel would be beneficial
Experience with Linux system builder tool like Yocto or Buildroot.
You are familiar with Linux containers (Docker, LXC, OpenShift or Kubernetes)
Experience with distributed version control systems
You are familiar with build automation systems (Jenkins) and automation testing
