No Offer Description The activity involves the development of an Edge AI system to analyze environmental signals related to ecotoxicity and ecological risk in vulnerable areas of the Italian peninsula.
Distributed sensors collect data on air, water, and soil quality, including, for example, particulate matter or heavy metals, which are then processed locally at the edge, reducing latency and dependence on connectivity. AI models will be designed and developed to identify anomalies consistent with postfire contamination, flood‐induced runoff, or pollutant dispersion.
The system will generate local ecotoxicological risk maps to support environmental authorities, civil protection agencies, and laboratories in preventing or mitigating impacts on ecosystems, biodiversity, and public health through continuous and intelligent monitoring.
