Senior Accountant

ID Logistics is an international company operating in the Contract Logistics sector, with over 400 sites across 18 countries , covering approximately 9.0 million square meters for warehousing and handling goods in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa , and employing around 38,000 people .

In 2023, the ID Logistics Group closed its financial year with 2.74 billion euros in revenue, boasting a balanced client portfolio across the retail (food and non-food), e-commerce, FMCG, fashion, high-tech, fragrance & cosmetics sectors, characterized by offerings with a high level of innovation and technology.

To support our Italian team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant who will oversee and manage the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounting Entries : Oversee all types of accounting entries including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Expense Notes (Nota Spese), and Fixed Assets

• Reconciliation Tasks: Conduct intercompany and bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities including the registration of accruals and provisions by cost center

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets in compliance with IFRS16 standards

• Audit Support: Provide support during year-end audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date

• Intrastat Management: Handle Intrastat reporting and compliance

• VAT Preparation: Prepare monthly VAT filings, with support from our Tax Accountant if necessary

• Annual Financial Statements: Collaborate with Tax Accountant for financial statements, annual VAT returns, and other required tax reports

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related financial discipline

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within an international organization

• ERP Systems: Strong proficiency in SAP ERP tools is required. Knowledge of SAP S/4Hana is a plus

• Languages: Fluency in Italian and English is essential. Knowledge of French is a plus

• Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
