Scope & Mission

The position is responsible for business growth in orders and sales for the EcoStruxure IT suite of products and services within Secure Power division.

The Territory Sales Rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The ISR must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within the assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects

The position has full accountability for orders growth and responsibility for forecasting and project funnel management using Schneider Electric’s chosen CRM tool Salesforce, and responsible for voice of customer feedback and customer advocacy.

The role requires the incumbent to work in a matrix with the SE Secure Power and Digital Energy segment sales teams in a supporting overlay capacity as well as direct ownership of key accounts and engagement with partners. The role represents and works closely with the Data Centre Software Solutions LoB key stakeholders.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Essential

  • Extensive experience of solution selling for software in either enterprise environments
  • Understanding of SaaS products, sales & marketing strategies
  • In depth knowledge of Edge & distributed IT applications and customer challenges
  • In depth knowledge of the availability and efficiency challenges in Data Centers
  • In depth knowledge of colo and service provider data center market

Preferred

  • Experience with software defined data centers, AI, machine learning, data analytics
  • Experience of software platform integration Web Services (including SOAP, XML, XML Schema, open APIs)
  • Good understanding of general LAN/WAN internetworking (Firewall, TCP/IP, SNMP etc)
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Management solutions with at least 1 of the following : Emerson Trellis, Avocent Data Center Planner, DSView, Aperture, IBM Tivoli, HP Openview, BMC Patrol/Remedy, CA DCIM, MS SCOM, Nlyte, iTracs, Raritan DCIM, Panduit DCIM, BMS, Power Monitoring
