Project Director – BESS Manufacturing | Italy Pronto/a a candidarsi? Hybrid work model We are supporting a major industrial project involving the development of two BESS manufacturing facilities in Italy from the ground up. We are looking for an experienced Project Director who can take overall responsibility for transforming this ambitious concept into a fully operational industrial business. The Project Director will coordinate all technical, commercial and contractual workstreams while acting as a key interface between our client, its project partner, the Italian government, suppliers and contractors. Lead the development and delivery of two BESS manufacturing facilitiesOversee the project from early development through construction and operational readinessDefine how the facilities will be developed, structured and operatedSelect and manage suppliers, contractors and technical partnersOversee contracts, budgets, timelines and project risksCoordinate multiple technical and commercial workstreamsBuild the core team and organisational structure around the facilitiesManage relationships with senior stakeholders, including project partners and government representativesThe ideal candidate: Deep technical knowledge of batteries and BESS technologyUnderstanding of cell production, battery degradation, system performance and augmentation strategiesExperience delivering major industrial, manufacturing or energy infrastructure projectsStrong commercial and contract management capabilitiesThe ability to assess the project from a complete 360-degree perspectiveSenior stakeholder management experience across complex, multi-party environmentsProfessional fluency in Italian and strong knowledge of the Italian marketThe project is currently progressing towards financial close, which is expected within the next few months. The successful candidate will ideally join early enough to influence the project before the main execution phase begins.
