Software Development Engineer II, Direct FulfilmentJoin a talented team of software engineers and technical leaders dedicated to reaching the next billion customers. As a software engineer on the team, you will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of solutions that enable our Direct Fulfillment (DF) model. DF allows vendors to ship products directly to customers on behalf of Amazon. If you're excited to grow your skills while helping us scale the world's most customer‐centric retail technology, we'd love to hear from youDelivering quality features on‐time and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.Working with team members to manage the day‐to‐day development activities, participate in designs, code review, implementation, and operational excellence.Engaging and working with customers and dependencies to ensure the quality delivery.Maintaining current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and working with the team in bringing in new technologies.About the teamDirect Fulfillment (DF), known in the industry as "dropship," is a fulfillment model that allows vendors to ship orders directly to the Customer. The offer is branded as 'Ships and Sold by Amazon' and the customer service experience is the same as items sold from Amazon Fulfillment centers, such that the customer does not know the difference. Basic Qualifications3+ years of non‐internship professional software development experience2+ years of non‐internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentKnowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellenceIf you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.
