JOB PURPOSE

The role will coordinate the effective and efficient management of Textile and Leather Raw Materials across the RTW Supply Chain (within the Soft Apparel & Tailoring Product Category) achieving and exceeding functional quality standards, through a strong and competent supplier base, strategically sound relationships, and sound technical knowledge. Contribute to driving strategic thinking through a matrix approach, optimizing efficiencies in ordering, cost negotiation, RM stock management, and on-time delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procurement & Supplier Management
    • Ensure a robust procurement strategy & approach with the commitment of all relevant internal stakeholders developed in partnership with Senior Management within the Soft Apparel & Tailoring Product Category across all divisions (MW, WW, and CHW).
    • Partner with the business and maintain continuous dialogue to understand ongoing business needs & future aspirations.
    • Develop, maintain, and evolve a robust supplier matrix.
    • Build & establish collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, including timely two-way communications, feedback on performance, and risk mitigation.
    • Assist in the end-to-end management activities of the supplier base (including selecting & onboarding, negotiation, matrix & risk management, capacity management, performance & exit).
    • Participate actively in the negotiation of cost, lead time, and minimums of RMs.
    • Build cost sheet breakdown for RMs focusing particularly on core or strategic RMs.
    • Map and manage supply chain for core or strategic RMs/Suppliers.
    • Contribute and support sustainable materials and manufacturing.
    • Build and maintain strategic industry links.
    • Follow commodity markets and anticipate business impact.
    • Track supplier performance in line with KPIs set.
    • Contribute to elevate technical knowledge and competency.
  • Feedback & Reporting
    • Review supplier performance management feedback & agree on appropriate response mechanisms.
    • Report on KPIs.
    • Ensure effective use of systems and maintenance & accuracy of data.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven experience working in the Textile industry.
  • Technical degree in textile or textile-related studies is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Advanced level of Excel.
  • Knowledge of the luxury industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong soft/interpersonal skills.
