Job Purpose As a Mechanical R&D Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design, modeling, and realization of our advanced bionic devices. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and biomechanics to execute R&D projects that bridge the gap between human needs and technological innovation. Your main responsibilities will include: Modeling and design of complex mechanical devices and components using advanced CAD software Execution of R&D projects, ensuring correct sizing of components and technical feasibility. Manage the prototyping phase using CNC machinery and 3D printers, followed by rigorous testing of product functionalities. Drafting of technical file reports, testing reports, and documenting "lessons learned" to consolidate operational knowhow. Research, selection, and qualification of suppliers and new technologies. Definition and resolution of technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle. Stay informed with competitive analysis and keep an eye on industry competitors. Ensure the IP compliance of provided technological innovations and manage Intellectual Property processes. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards for R&D warehouse usage. Skills and qualifications we are looking for: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering. Minimum 3 years of experience in an R&D Hardware department or Product Development role. Advanced use of modeling software (specifically PTC Creo or SolidWorks). Hands‐on experience with CNC machinery, 3D printers, and advanced use of measuring and hand tools. Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to foster product innovation and creativity. English B1+ level (Italian proficiency is also required). Experience in managing Intellectual Property.
