Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish industrial electronic equipment.
Repair malfunctions in circuitry and other system structures
Test electronic components to board level, using various methods and testing equipment
Repair and / or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to : diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, other printed circuit components
Update software and run tests on existing equipment
Familiarity with and ability to utilize different types of test equipment such as function generators, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies. Isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary.
Record and interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to determine pass / fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed. The Electronics Repair Technician will communicate with Repair Services management to keep them informed of job status
The Electronics Repair Technician will perform field service visits in a timely manner as required to resolve technical issues experienced by customers
Ability to solder and desolder using through hole and surface mount technology
Able to work in a progressive repair process, having direct interaction with employees performing other portions of the process
Maintain inventory
Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.
Attending regular training workshops and reporting to the Supervisor.
Ensures that all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
ITI / Diploma / Degree or completed coursework in Electronics
~1 year of proven work experience in similar job
~ Good working knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking)
~ MS Office.
