Marine Safety Superintendent
with experience in the tanker sector (oil/chemical and or gas).
The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Department and onboard personnel to ensure compliance with international and company standards.
Key responsabilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with international maritime safety regulations (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL).
Coordinate safety activities on board, supporting Masters and crew members.
Conduct internal audit, inspections, and follow‐up on corrective actions.
Collaborate with technical and operational departments to promote a strong safety culture.
Manage reporting and emergency plans, ensuring high operational standards.
Deliver training and awareness sessions for the crew on safety and prevention.
Investigate incidents, near‐misses, and non‐conformities, developing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Support the preparation and management of inspections carried out by maritime authorities and classification societies.
Contribute to the development and updating of onboard procedures and safety manuals. xrdztoy
ISPS implementation
Requirements:
Experience as Master or C/O on oil/chemical or gas tankers Experience in Safety roles ashore In-depth knowledge of: ISM Code MARPOL / SOLAS ISGOTT SIRE and/or CDI processes Strong analytical skills and ability to manage non‐conformities Familiarity with TMSA Fluency in English (written and spoken) Willingness to travel and attend onboard visits Relevant HSE certifications (ISM Internal Auditor, DPA, CSO)
