Hays Italy, part of the multinational Hays group, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, which offers consulting services in the Information Technology sector with the aim of contributing to the success and technological progress of individuals and companies, is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer – OpenStack with proven experience in designing & implementing complex cloud infrastructures based on OpenStack & in managing automation through Terraform & Ansible Kolla. The role involves working within structured project environments, covering all operational phases: detailed design, implementation, standardization, documentation & handover/testing with operational teams. Field: provider of complex proprietary cloud platforms Key Responsibilities Develop detailed designs for cloud solutions aligned with engineering architecture guidelines Implement cloud infrastructures based on OpenStack & develop automation using Ansible Kolla & Terraform Standardize configurations, procedures & operational processes Prepare technical documentation, including operational guides, technical diagrams & standards Conduct testing & handover activities to operational teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud platforms Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer Background as a Systems Engineer, with strong expertise in Linux systems & distributed infrastructures In-depth knowledge of OpenStack Advanced experience with Terraform & Kolla Experience with private cloud or proprietary CSP environments Advanced troubleshooting skills Location: completely full remote – Italy-based Freelancers are highly welcomed too Candidates of any gender identity, after reviewing the mandatory privacy notice available at are kindly requested to submit their CV in PDF format, quoting the reference number (Ref. ---).
