SMS group S.p.A. is an Italian company which can count more than 500 employees in three different locations of Tarcento (Udine), San Donato Milanese (Milan) and Genoa. With its wide technical expertise, it is specialized in the production of innovative and turn-key plants, such as hot and cold rolling mills for flat products, process lines, reheating furnaces and heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops and continuous casting machines.

Construction Manager
YOU ACT
Initiates, coordinates, and controls all construction activities within the project to ensure in-time, in-budget, and in-quality project execution for his function.
Communicates cross-functionally and provides all relevant information to the project core team, especially to the Project Manager, Project Supply Chain Manager, Engineering Manager, and Project Scheduler.
Specialist contact with responsibility for processing the construction work package during order execution for the site team.
Central project-related point of contact for the construction phase.
Contact person for optimizing and coordinating all matters relating to the construction work package in consultation with the General Commissioning Manager.
Monitors compliance of contractors with the HSE plan and escalates to the Project Manager in the event of significant non-conformity; sets out the arrangements for HSE and ensures that all requisite measures are implemented for site operation.
Is responsible for the full and proper preparation of the construction work package.
Responsibility for compliance with all legal and customer requirements in the planning and execution phase of a project with a focus on safe construction site operation, considering also all relevant environmental aspects.
YOU KNOW
Leadership to coordinate, manage, and control all construction activities.
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Site Management activities in the construction of steel processing plants.
Knowledge in site erection and commissioning activities management preferred for steel plants.
Very good written and spoken English.
Ability to work in a team and flexibility.
Willingness to travel worldwide.
Organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
Open-mindedness towards new approaches and innovations.
Confident handling of MS Office tools.
