The team We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Safety Manager to join our team which operates as Internal Logistics Provider within one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the tobacco industry. This role is pivotal in driving a major cultural transformation in safety practices across a workforce of over 300 blue‐collar employees. Your role The ideal candidate is not only a technical expert in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations but also a charismatic leader who can inspire, engage, and influence teams to embrace a proactive safety culture. This person must have a strong presence, authority, and enthusiasm to lead by example, challenge the status quo, and ensure safety becomes an integral part of daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Drive Safety Strategy: Develop and lead safety programs aligned with corporate and regulatory standards to achieve zero‐incident goals. Lead Cultural Transformation: Champion a proactive safety mindset across all levels through engagement and accountability. Hands‐On Training & Coaching: Deliver impactful training sessions and toolbox talks to empower employees on the shop floor. Ensure Compliance & Manage Risk: Oversee audits, risk assessments, and action plans to maintain full regulatory compliance. Investigate & Improve: Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement data‐driven preventative measures. Requirements Proven HSE Experience: 7–10 years in safety leadership roles within logistics, manufacturing, or industrial settings. Strong Educational & Certification Background: Degree in a related field plus NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certifications; qualified trainer (DM 06/03/2013). Inspiring Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams through major safety transformations. Hands‐On & Proactive: Comfortable being present on the floor, actively engaging with teams to drive change. Excellent Communicator & Analyst: Skilled in motivating diverse teams and leveraging data for performance improvement. Why Logista?
