National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) – Perugia Section The INFN Perugia Section is seeking an Experimental Astroparticle, High-Energy, or Nuclear Physicist . INFN–Perugia offers a 1-year research contract , with the possibility of extension for up to 3 years . An on-site working arrangement is required. Requirements: PhD in Experimental Astroparticle Physics, High-Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear Engineering Advanced knowledge of C/C++ programming languages Advanced knowledge of the GEANT4 and ROOT toolkits Experience in modelling, data analysis, and uncertainty quantification for large scientific datasets Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-energy, astroparticle, or radiation physics data analysis. Good command of written and spoken English Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing and validating models of space radiation environments and high-energy transient phenomena Experience in the simulation, design, construction, and testing of particle detectors Experience with data acquisition electronics for radiation or particle detector systems Residence in Umbria, Italy If you are interested in working on scientifically and technically challenging projects, please send your CV to: behcet.alpat@pg.infn.it.
