About The Role As a Sr. Manager of Operations you will oversee the safety, quality, reliability, and performance of manufacturing operations, as the highest authority within the Operations organization. You will report to the Operations Director and be located in Monfalcone (GO). Key Responsibilities- Ensure Nuclear Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance:promote and enforce nuclear safety and quality culture across all operational activities
- Provide Overall Governance of Operations: oversee fabrication and production while guaranteeing that operations remain structured, staffed, qualified, and equipped for all project demand.
- Manage Operational Performance and Delivery: meet production commitments through compliant and authorized means.
- Govern Manufacturing Capacity, Resources, and Capability: Translate project and portfolio demand into realistic workforce, qualification, equipment, shop-space, and shift requirements
- Lead the Operations Leadership Team: coach senior operational leaders reflecting and develop leadership behaviors that reflect nuclear safety principles, procedural discipline, and accountability
- Govern Special Processes and Technical Independence: ensure that you govern special processes (welding, NDE, RT) with the appropriate level of technical independence and oversight.
- Insure Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence: sponsor and prioritize structured improvement programs that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability through validated, documented, and compliant with nuclear requirements.
- Work with Executive Management, Customers, and Regulators: act as the primary operational interface for executive leadership, customers, regulatory bodies and auditors
- Manage Operational Risk: manage operational and safety‑related risks, ensure response to abnormal conditions, incidents, or new risks. Maintain operational resilience through disciplined planning, resource allocation, and contingency management
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations in nuclear, power generation, aerospace, oil and gas, or other complex manufacturing sectors
- Minimum 5 years leading managers or multi-level operational organizations in a regulated industrial environment
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, nuclear quality, safety, or related professional qualifications are a plus
- English: professional working proficiency, Italian: fluent or professional working proficiency where required.
