Position Summary
As a Patent Lawyer you will be responsible in developing and maintaining a strong bridge between the legal and business teams to protect Vertiv's IP. We are looking now for a colleague to join our team in Padova, Italy .
What you'll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:
- Advising business leaders regarding IP risks with respect to M&A activity;
- Collaborate with R&D regarding the protection of newly generated IP;
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to identify IP monetization opportunities;
- Conducting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape searches;
- Overseeing the prosecution of patent applications;
- Advising the company in the development and implementation of IP strategies to support the needs of individual business units;
- Conducting competitive IP due diligence;
- Effectively managing outside counsel to achieve positive outcomes;
- Drafting and negotiating technical agreements, including licenses, joint development agreements, technology agreements, and non-disclosure agreements;
- Collaborating closely with other legal department colleagues and functional support groups to provide legal advice and counsel.

- Qualification / Degree in Law
- Minimum 2/3 years of experience
- IT skills: Microsoft Office
- Travel within the EMEA Region, you might be requested to travel to meet other internal customers or to negotiate contracts with customers
- Language skills: English and Italian at an advanced level.
