Information Technology Manager - Air Cargo Division MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company continues to invest and lead the world container market with ships, an extensive container fleet, intermodal and dedicated staff for its customers. IT Manager - AirCargo Division Within the MSC Technology structure, the IT Manager for the Air Cargo division will assist the Company in defining and implementing the IT landscape, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with the industry standards and security measures. He/she will also play a crucial role in the integration of the aviation’s operational IT landscape from affiliated companies into our Group. As IT Manager, the candidate will contribute to the shaping and development of the IT team dedicated to MSC Air Cargo. Key Responsibilities : IT Landscape Definition:

  • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define the overall IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current or proposed IT solutions, identifying gaps, risks and recommending improvements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to drive the development of a robust and scalable IT architecture to support current and future business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with MSC’s security policies and standards.
Integration of affiliated Companies :
  • Drive the integration of aircrafts’ operational IT systems from affiliated companies into MSC Air Cargo’s organizational IT landscape.
  • Conduct assessments on affiliated company's IT landscape and infrastructure and develop integration plans.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and alignment of IT strategies.
Software Implementation :
  • Contribute to the evaluation, selection and implementation of software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and meet business requirements.
  • Participate in proof of concepts when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new software into existing systems.
  • Oversee the customization and configuration of software to align with business processes.
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Contribute to the negotiation of contracts, service level agreements, and ensure compliance with MSC’s corporate and security standards.
  • Stay abreast of air cargo’s industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend potential vendors.
Risk Management and Security: · Work closely with the relevant internal stakeholders to o Enforce robust security measures to safeguard company data and IT infrastructure. o Identify and mitigate potential risks related to IT operations and integration projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to laying the foundation of a new, cross-site IT team for our Air Cargo division, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure the IT team is aligned with business goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven 10+ years’ experience (with minimum 5 years leadership) in a similar IT management role within the Air Cargo industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT architectures, systems integration, and software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ICargo or equivalent TMS.
  • Knowledge of industry leader IT solutions for managing aircraft operations.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, specifically integrating IT systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, establish clear direction and implement plans to be delivered within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
