Field Service Engineer – PLC Specialist We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at IMI Remosa , the world leader in the design and manufacture of valves and hydraulic actuation systems for critical applications in the petrochemical industry. IMI Remosa supports industrial projects worldwide, providing advanced solutions for the control and automation of complex systems in high-stakes environments. The ideal candidate is ready for frequent international travel, with assignments ranging from a minimum of 1 week up to 2 months. Key Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and maintenance on electrohydraulic control systems controlled by PLCs , cabinets, and control loops. Strong focus on PLC programming and management : you will be expected to handle and program PLCs from leading manufacturers such as Rockwell and Siemens , as well as troubleshoot and optimize control systems. Interpret and work with electrical, hydraulic, and P&ID schematics , with a solid understanding of electroinstrumentation principles , to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs. Work with industrial communication networks including Profinet , Profibus , Modbus , and Ethernet . Collaborate with international teams, communicating technical issues and solutions clearly in English . Requirements Proven experience in field service or similar roles in industrial environments, with a strong background in PLC programming and electroinstrumentation . Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and P&ID schematics as well as a good grasp of electroinstrumentation basics . Hands‐on experience with PLC / HMI programming (Rockwell, Siemens preferred). Ability to travel extensively (approximately 210 days / year). Good command of Italian and English , both written and spoken. What We Offer Permanent contract with competitive salary.
