Field Service Engineer – PLC SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at IMI Remosa, the world leader in the design and manufacture of valves and hydraulic actuation systems for critical applications in the petrochemical industry. IMI Remosa supports industrial projects worldwide, providing advanced solutions for the control and automation of complex systems in high-stakes environments. The ideal candidate is ready for frequent international travel, with assignments ranging from a minimum of 1 week up to 2 months. In exceptional cases, assignments may exceed 2 months, although this is rare. On average, the role involves approximately 210 days per year spent onsite. Please note that this role involves working exclusively in the field at our clients' locations around the world, and there is no fixed office location.Key Responsibilities:Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and maintenance on electrohydraulic control systems controlled by PLCs, cabinets, and control loops.Strong focus on PLC programming and management: you will be expected to handle and program PLCs from leading manufacturers such as Rockwell and Siemens, as well as troubleshoot and optimize control systems.Interpret and work with electrical, hydraulic, and P&ID schematics, with a solid understanding of electroinstrumentation principles, to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.Work with industrial communication networks including Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet.Operate effectively under pressure, adapting to challenging onsite environments and schedules.Collaborate with international teams, communicating technical issues and solutions clearly in English.Requirements:Proven experience in field service or similar roles in industrial environments, with a strong background in PLC programming and electroinstrumentation.Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and P&ID schematics as well as a good grasp of electroinstrumentation basics.Familiarity with communication protocols: Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet.Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming (Rockwell, Siemens preferred).Ability to travel extensively (approximately 210 days/year).Excellent stress management and problem-solving skills.Good command of Italian and English, both written and spoken.What We Offer:Permanent contract with competitive salary.Travel allowance.Corporate credit card.Overtime hours fully compensated.Extensive international travel opportunities to industrial sites worldwide.Flexible work location: you can live anywhere, with occasional visits to our Sardinia office for training or administrative activities.Comprehensive training and continuous professional development.Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a leading company.Possibility to build a global professional network and advance your career internationally.
