Supply Chain Operational Excellence Lead
Job Purpose
As part of the Corporate Supply Chain Team, with a privileged perspective on end-to-end Recordati global Supply Chain processes, projects and challenges, the SC Operational Excellence Lead plays a pivotal role by contributing concretely – analytically, methodologically, through governance facilitation – to all the initiatives linked to the ambitious Supply Chain improvement roadmap, across all sub-areas (e.g., S&OP, inventory management, data & analytics, 3PL management, logistics) and according to our key pillars (service level and performance, simplification, sustainable efficiencies). Such a mandate is reflected both in daily, "business as usual" tasks (e.g., Supply Chain performance management, budgeting activities, Business Reviews' and key meetings' preparation) and in projects, including the cross‐functional ones involving non‐Supply Chain stakeholders as well. All the above to enable Supply Chain's key mandate as a strong Business Partner: protecting the "as‐is", mitigating risks and sustaining Company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include, potentially and non‐exclusively:
Oversight on end‐to‐end Supply Chain roadmap design and implementation (by e.g., running proper diagnostics/assessments, tracking and coordinating/supporting related improvement initiatives)
Focal point role in performance management (e.g., through definition and continuous review of metrics/KPIs and related targets, efforts in cross‐BU KPIs' harmonization, collaboration with Supply Chain Data & Analytics team to translate KPI "concepts" into effective reporting)
Oversight on Supply Chain budgeting (by collecting, challenging, making consistent and harmonizing budget inputs, to ensure a smooth consolidation; by acting as a time‐keeper in the budgeting process; by supporting the Supply Chain Leadership Team as additional interface towards Finance)
Supply Chain reference for project management (both in pure Supply Chain and cross‐functional projects) and governance facilitation
S&OP & Demand Planning Excellence (by fostering good DP practices by sensibilizing all involved actors in the forecasting and consensus process; by pushing for standardization of S&OP process, tools and agenda)
Operational improvements in internal and external manufacturing impacting Supply Chain performances (e.g., lead time reduction, improved data and performance visibility)
Digital tools' rollout & adoption (acting as Supply Chain focal point and "change agent" in new Supply Chain‐related digital tools)
Required Education
Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience
At least 7 years of proven work experience in complex Supply Chains, Supply Chain / Operations consulting or related areas
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders (both functionally and by seniority)
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience in pharma business would be an advantage
Strong understanding of Supply Chain management principles and key Supply Chain processes
Proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Excel – used to work with nested formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.; and Powerpoint – ability to build solid storylines as well as consistent quali/quantitative contents, also for executive interlocutors)
Knowledge of SAP IBP and/or other Supply Chain‐related tools (e.g., forecasting tools, others) represents a plus
