Job Summary
Through the collective strength of a global workforce across 30 countries and responsible, sustainable operations, Flex delivers technology innovation, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions to various industries and end markets.
The Logistic Engineer based in our Milano, Somaglia site works in the Engineering team being responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting all the data related to warehouse performance, process steps, supporting the business in all its functions.
What a typical day looks like:
Monitoring and reporting of logistics process
Analysis of historical and actual data of logistics processes to determine trends, accurate forecasts, reporting for Corporate and Customer, from a financial, volume and performance perspective
Preparation of specific analyses on specific areas of the warehouse, using Excel files and Power Point presentations to be presented to Management, Corporate and/or Customer
Lean activities: continuous improvement with focus on the quality of the processes, supported by a cost/benefit analysis
Calculation and monitoring of the costs of the various activities
Communication with the Customer, suppliers and all the various company departments and functions
Responsibility for maintaining, improving and supporting the operations of the laser etching department, including but not limited to:
Laser calibration activities to maintain optimal functionality in line with the quality specification standards
Perform periodic checks and schedule maintenance to ensure the best performance of tools and machines (such as Marking Laser, Wrap machines, Packaging machines, Conveyors, etc)
Publish and regularly update documentation on
Standard Operating Procedure
Process Capability
Process Flow
Asset Management, Maintenance
Cycle Times, Productivity Achievement
Focus on developing/controlling/improving NPI (New Product Introduction) related processes and implementations in collaboration with the customer’s manufacturing team
Compiling and writing training materials and facilitating training sessions on quality control activities
Sourcing local equipment and liaising with suppliers for troubleshooting/maintenance of equipment and new purchases.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics / Transportation
Experience in logistics is a plus but we welcome fresh graduates
Fluent English, written and spoken
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Being able to reach the site by own car (no public transport available)
