Overview

In this role, you lead the enterprise functional architecture for ABB, aligning business strategy with functional capabilities across domains such as Finance, HR, and Legal & Integrity. You provide architecture guidance at scale, balancing global coherence with local needs while avoiding fragmentation. You will drive architecture-led transformations and establish guardrails, reference architectures, and governance to sustain long-term business and technology outcomes. This is a high-impact, cross-functional position that shapes how the enterprise operates and evolves.

Responsabilità

  • Define and maintain the enterprise functional architecture vision and target state
  • Translate business strategy into capability-based architectures for functions
  • Ensure consistent interpretation of enterprise principles across domains
  • Guide evolution of core business systems in line with enterprise strategy
  • Maintain architectural coherence across domains, platforms, and geographies
  • Resolve conflicts between functional requirements and enterprise constraints
  • Balance global vs local process ownership and SaaS vs customization decisions
  • Define enterprise-wide functional architecture principles and reference architectures
  • Contribute to Architecture Review Boards and approve/reject architectural exceptions
  • Guide investments in functional platforms and transformations
  • Lead and mentor Domain Architects and enable enterprise transformation initiatives

Requisiti fondamentali

  • 12–15+ years in enterprise or domain architecture roles
  • Experience in large, decentralized or federated enterprises
  • Experience leading architecture in major enterprise transformations
  • Strong SAP knowledge; ERP- and platform-centric architectures
  • Expertise in functional capability modeling, business process harmonization, SaaS and packaged applications, cross-domain dependency management, and enterprise-scale governance
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to arbitrate complex trade-offs pragmatically
