Overview

In this role you will lead supplier quality activities for ASME B&PV Code materials and components used in the AP1000 NSSS. You will join the APX Supplier Quality Team in a hybrid setting in Monfalcone, Italy, with on-site presence three days a week. You will work to ensure nuclear safety-related and ASME-compliant supplier products meet all requirements through audits, surveillance and oversight. You will drive quality improvements, document procurement conformity, and oversee global supplier performance with a focus on regulatory and customer standards.

Responsabilità

  • Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans to ensure quality and technical standards are met
  • Resolve supplier quality issues impacting product quality
  • Perform independent assessments to verify QMS effectiveness for nuclear safety-related and ASME B&PV Code materials and components
  • Monitor progress to meet quality goals within budget and schedule constraints
  • Create certification documents identifying procurement requirements met by materials/equipment
  • Lead assessments of the global supplier base for regulatory, code, and standard compliance
  • Evaluate supplier quality plans to verify compliance with Westinghouse engineering requirements
  • Apply advanced QC techniques and statistics to analyze deficiency data and measure QA program effectiveness
  • Write QA plan segments per NRC, Westinghouse, and customer standards for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities
  • Implement policies on scope and retention of QA documentation

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Professional or similar role
  • NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor experience is desirable
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and testing equipment is desirable
  • Experience generating, reviewing, approving, and archiving electronic quality documents and records
  • Audit and supplier source surveillance experience required
  • Experience operating within a formal quality management system (ISO 9001, AS9100, ASME NQA-1)
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Travel up to 40–50% per month to supplier sites
