Our partner is looking for a Senior Engineer II, Chromium based in Italy. /b /p pJoin a forward-thinking engineering team working at the intersection of browser technology, systems architecture, and AI security. In this role, you’ll help build and strengthen Chromium-based capabilities that protect enterprise users and AI agents from emerging cyber threats. You’ll work on advanced browser internals, AI security controls, and high-performance cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will help address challenges such as Prompt Injection and unauthorized Shadow AI usage. Collaborating with specialists across browser, AI, and security engineering, you’ll deliver scalable, resilient, and evasion-resistant security solutions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of secure browsing and agentic technology. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul lipDesign, develop, and maintain Chromium-based browser components in C++, working across layers such as content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, and networking. /p /li lipBuild and integrate browser-level controls to detect Prompt Injection and manage Shadow AI activity across browser and AI agent workflows. /p /li lipApply networking expertise and security principles to strengthen browser isolation, proxy and gateway interception, and network-facing infrastructure. /p /li lipCollaborate with AI and agent engineering teams to integrate AI agent capabilities and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers into security solutions. /p /li lipDevelop supporting tools, detection microservices, and prototypes using Python or Rust. /p /li lipDeploy and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, using Kubernetes and Terraform to support reliable AI agent, MCP, and threat-detection workloads. /p /li lipDebug, optimize, and maintain performance-critical systems across browser and backend infrastructure. /p /li lipWork closely with product, security, and AI engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. /p /li lipUse AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and code review while maintaining high standards of quality and security. /p /li /ul h3Requirements: /h3 ul lipAt least 5 years of software engineering experience, with strong C++ systems programming skills. /p /li lipSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, including security, web protocols, and/or client-side security architecture. /p /li lipBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. /p /li lipExperience with Chromium internals, including content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, or networking layers, is preferred.
