  • Resolve cross-functional conflicts and prioritise material shortages and exceptions within agreed company decision rights.
  1. Strategic Procurement and Supplier Management
  • Own supplier strategy, supplier segmentation, strategic sourcing and continuity-risk mitigation, focusing effort on critical and high-impact suppliers.
  • Lead supplier selection and development with Quality, Engineering and Production as appropriate; maintain proportionate supplier performance reviews.
  • Lead major negotiations and strategic price or contractual agreements within approved authority limits; escalate commitments requiring further approval.
  • Use purchasing data, supplier delivery performance and price deviations provided by the Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to prioritise actions.
  • Delegate routine purchase orders, supplier follow-up and day-to-day delivery issues to the Purchasing & Logistics Specialist.
  1. Team Leadership and Operating Model
  • Lead, coach and develop the Purchasing & Logistics Specialist and two Warehouse Specialists, ensuring core warehouse activities are covered interchangeably.
  • Define clear responsibilities, escalation routes, decision limits and practical coordination routines with Production Planning, Production and Quality.
  • Govern SAP purchasing, planning and inventory processes, including RdA/OdA workflows, master-data ownership and transaction discipline.
  • Ensure warehouse standards for receipt, traceability, stock accuracy, picking, packing, dispatch, safety and continuous improvement.
  1. Performance and Improvement
  • Review a concise set of indicators covering shortages, supplier reliability, inventory rotation, obsolete stock, inbound freight, warehouse accuracy and material-related OTD risks.
  • Lead practical Lean improvements and corrective actions; avoid unnecessary reporting or administrative complexity.
  • Coordinate with Finance on purchasing expenditure, stock valuation and write-off proposals; secure appropriate authorisations.

Requirements :

  • Experience managing procurement, material planning and warehouse operations in manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead a small team and combine strategic supplier work with hands-on operational management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, prioritisation and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and practical inventory and MRP processes.
