As a Shelf Edge/Reset Merchandising Manager, you'll lead all initiatives for Store‐wide shelf management, price image, and rotation. You'll be responsible for general Shelf Edge department functions, while the scope and complexity of work may increase depending on your level of classification. We Are Looking For 1 years of experience in the Shelf Edge department or in management, or comparable retail experience SORM or equivalent Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Responsibilities Uses independent judgment to make employment‐related decisions (hire, promote, transfer, discipline, etc.) Collaborates with all departments, levels of Partners, management, and Store Leadership Serves as the subject matter expert on total‐Store Shelf Edge processes Leads / assists department Partners with their duties; coaches, trains, and evaluates as needed Holds Partners accountable for following SOPs Monitors / manages department budget and payroll Maintains inventory and organization of Shelf Edge supplies and tools Collaborates / interacts with vendors and suppliers on all related activities Manages accountability of Shelf Edge processes for total Store, in collaboration with Department Managers and Store Leaders Coordinates / leads Store‐executed shelf edge activities to include product, shelf, and merchandising changes; submits required forms Serves as the subject matter expert for product shelf assignment (PSA) Manages / ensures accountability for PSA on plan‐o‐gram items during budgeted and scheduled activities Manages compliance of plan‐o‐gram integrity; collaborates with Partners to execute scheduled activities Maintains all updates to plan‐o‐grams, including individual Store‐requested items based on designated approval process Maintains location labels Store‐wide Maintains compliance of floorplan and fixture integrity; collaborates with appropriate Partners on special requests Executes discontinued product process per SOP Ensures products are assigned to shelves (PSA) on displays as outlined by SOP Ensures execution and accuracy of assigned marketing activities as outlined through tasks or communication Manages all hanging, pulling, printing and replenishing coupons for ad change process and activities Ensures timely execution of daily received tags per SOP Ensures maintenance and application functionality for department scales is performed daily across entire store Performs audits to ensure ad accuracy, weekly Assists in assessing accuracy of signs and pricing throughout the store, weekly Sanitation / Safety Duties Ensures compliance with all company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation Replaces / orders Shelf Edge fixtures for total Store to maintain appearance and safety Performs audits for product date rotation per process SOP Customer Service Duties Provides / coaches on superior customer service focused on hospitality Answers customer questions regarding products and helps customers locate merchandise Additional Requirements Minimum age 18 (mandatory) 1 years of experience in department or in management, or comparable retail experience SORM or equivalent Forklift / power jack training Completion of all specific assigned computer‐based training Fit Assessment Understanding of product integrity Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Strong organization and planning skills Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Software, H‐E‐B systems, and designated conference call systems Ability to supervise and train staff Ability to communicate and influence all levels of Partners effectively for the best outcome Ability to adapt to stressful situations Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks Ability to understand basic financial and mathematical operations with relation to impact on total Store Physical Demands Constantly * reach at waist, grasp Frequently stand, walk Occasionally sit, reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, climb ladder, pivot, twist, push / pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements Occasionally be exposed to loud noise, and wet and cold conditions Demonstrate the ability to lift 20 lbs, and manage in excess of 65 lbs Thresholds: Constantly: 5.5 hours per 8‐hour day; Frequently: 2.5‐5.5 hours; Occasionally: 0‐2.5 hours Partners responsible for not exceeding safe lifting limit; use assistance if needed Seniority level Mid‐Senior level Employment type Full‐time Job function Other Industries Retail Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at H‐E‐B by 2x.
