Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Projects Land Origination Manager Italy Based

As the Land Origination Manager for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Projects, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and securing suitable land parcels for the development of solar PV projects. Your expertise in land acquisition, negotiation, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement will contribute to the successful expansion of our solar energy portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  1. Site Identification and Assessment:
    Research and identify potential land parcels suitable for solar PV projects based on technical, environmental, and regulatory criteria. Evaluate land suitability by considering factors such as solar resource, topography, land use compatibility, and proximity to infrastructure.
  2. Due Diligence:
    Conduct comprehensive due diligence on selected land parcels to assess feasibility, permitting requirements, environmental impact, and potential challenges. Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
  3. Land Acquisition:
    Develop and implement strategies to negotiate land acquisition agreements, including lease or purchase terms, with landowners or stakeholders. Collaborate with legal and financial teams to finalize contracts, ensuring terms are favourable and protective of the company's interests.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, regulatory agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. Address concerns, provide information, and promote the benefits of solar PV projects to gain support and mitigate potential obstacles.
  5. Project Coordination:
    Collaborate with project development teams to align land acquisition with project timelines and milestones. Ensure seamless transition of projects from land acquisition to development phase.
  6. Market Analysis:
    Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities related to solar PV land acquisition. Provide insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records of all land acquisition activities, agreements, and correspondence. Generate regular reports on progress, challenges, and opportunities for management review.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, renewable energy, business administration, or a related discipline. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in land acquisition and origination, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry. Strong understanding of solar PV project development, permitting processes, and regulatory landscape. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. Ability to analyse technical and environmental data to assess land suitability. Familiarity with legal and contractual aspects of land acquisition agreements. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate challenges and identify creative solutions. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
