Environmental consultant – site investigation and remediation

You will join our Milan or Rome Office

As our new risk assessor, you will be part of our successful team composed by geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, chemists, biologists, etc. working together in an international network for a variety of projects regarding mainly contaminated site management, expert services, permitting, due diligence, impact assessment, water treatment, health and safety, climate risk and sustainability. You will contribute to a sustainable future in an open, collaborative and empowering culture.

The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in the technical and operational management of site characterisation, risk assessment, and remediation projects for contaminated sites, following the various stages of the environmental procedure pursuant to Article 242 of Legislative Decree 152⁄2006 and contributing to the preparation of technical documentation, the coordination of field activities, and engagement with project stakeholders.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Support the Project Manager in planning and coordinating project activities
Contribute to the preparation of site characterisation plans, risk assessments, remediation designs, and technical feasibility evaluations;
Data analysis and elaboration
Liaise with laboratories, subcontractors, authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
Drafting expert reports within remediation project;
Proposal and reporting in Italian or English language
Help ensure compliance with project quality, schedule, budget, and HSE requirements

Candidates should have a Master level university degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines;
Relevant experience in site characterisation and remediation, as well as human health and environmental risk assessment for contaminated sites;
Knowledge of Italian environmental regulations relating to contaminated sites, with particular reference to Legislative Decree 152⁄06
Ideally proficient user of ArcGIS/AutoCAD;
Experience of field work and data analysis;
Capable of producing clear and concise written documents in Italian language (mother tongue);
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

What We Can Offer You

The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on your experience, skills and qualifications, with a typical range of EUR 31,000–36,000 per year.
