Overview

In this role you will drive process development and continuous improvement, collaborating with R&D and operations to deliver optimized processes and reliable equipment performance. You will produce specifications, balance material and utilities, and size installations while mentoring trainees. You'll contribute to safety reviews, start-up integrity, and ongoing performance enhancements. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position that shapes process design and project execution.

Responsabilità

  • Develop and improve processes; write study specifications
  • Create material and utility balances for unit operation and cost clarity
  • Size equipment and installations with cross-functional support
  • Collaborate with R&D to validate new processes or improvements
  • Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions and operating manuals
  • Conduct preliminary safety studies and participate in HAZOP reviews and relief device design
  • Train end-users on installed equipment
  • Propose lab or pilot trials based on industrial issues
  • Support R&D projects and PMMA grade industrialization
  • Contribute to project lifecycle from equipment design to variable cost calculations
  • Coordinate with engineering firms and validate documents; engage with suppliers
  • Oversee construction phase; train engineers on projects
  • Prepare Process Design Package with the technical office
  • Plan test runs, sampling, and result interpretation
  • Ensure timely startup with required product quality and production capacity
  • Provide operations support and coordinate improvement actions
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and implement corrective actions
  • Implement Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Maintain process documentation for workshop and engineering projects
  • Explore new technologies to boost performance or address recurrent issues
  • May supervise process trainees/interns
  • Support implementation of new investment projects by Technical Office
  • Work with Global Manufacturing and Engineering project teams as needed

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in process engineering in an industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of process design, equipment sizing, and safety analysis
  • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and process descriptions
  • Experience with safety reviews (HAZOP) and pressure relief device design
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with R&D support and process optimization is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and support production teams
