Overview Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026. It carries on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. The organization is guided by values of respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will involve 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Organizing Committee was established in 2019 to organize Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed by the IOC, Milano, Cortina and CONI. Partners include the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto regions, autonomous provinces, and the Italian Government. Position Policlinic Director is a physician with technical-organizational skills in emergency systems with particular experience in large event management. The role has an active strategic and operational dimension in planned health activities at both competitive and non-competitive sites and ceremonies. The director will oversee technical health aspects and contribute to the construction of strategic and operational plans for Health Teams at venues, in close contact with the Team. Key Deliverables Editing of the preliminary strategic plan with reference to material and human resource planning for competitive and non-competitive venues. Support to the definition of the Budget and subsequent releases within the scope of professional competencies. Define the Strategic plan and Concept operation according to IOC medical guidelines under the supervision of the Medical Care Director. Define the drafting of the MS operation plan within professional expertise. Support the Medical services training plan within professional expertise. Serve as reference for medical aspects of the venue and be part of the Venues Team; liaison and coordinator of the Venues Health Team (VMTO - VMS). Reports to the Medical Care Manager and to the hierarchical chain in the organizational chart. Requirements Essential Physician with project management and organizational skills Experience in managing roles in events and the medical sector is a plus Ability to simplify, synthesize and build impactful reports and presentations Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities Strong relationship building and communication skills Excellent writing skills in Italian and English Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Desirable Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively in Italian and English Teamwork and independent thinking Experience in sporting events, particularly Olympic/Paralympic level Pro-active in flagging problems and proposing solutions Motivated to learn Other information Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is committed to building an inclusive and diversified working environment, guaranteeing equal opportunities for all workers (L.903/77) and promoting the integration of persons with disabilities (L.68/99).
